Austin City Hall and Public Plaza

 

The limestone, copper-clad Austin City Hall and plaza is a landmark designed to be a community gathering place for public discussion and civic discourse.

The $42 million project consists of a new City Hall and Public Plaza constructed on a city block at Guadalupe and Cesar Chavez. The 115,000 S.F. city hall building incorporates roof plazas and gardens and is built above a new 750 space underground parking structure. The project also includes an underground pedestrian tunnel within the street R.O.W.

UDG provided the civil engineering design services including:
