|5th at West Avenue
|The "5th at West " is a multifamily project located in the Shoal Creek Watershed bordered by West 5th Street, West 4th Street, Rio Grande Street, and West Avenue. The 1.8 acre site contains 140 apartments which have been designed to address the streetscape with an urban mixed-use façade. The project, in cooperation with the City's Great Streets program provides widened sidewalks and sheltered parking. The project also includes a parking garage and creek stabilization project.
Work included site plan design, site grading, utilities and paving and drainage plans. The project required extensive coordination with City of Austin staff regarding Great Streets Improvements, Smart Growth Matrix and Shoal Creek floodplain and bank stabilization. Work also included coordination with Capital Metro for bus stop reconstruction and construction phase services.
