Saltillo District Redevelopment
Austin, Texas
Saltillo District Redevelopment Master plan consists of an 11-acre parcel owned by Capital Metro which has historically served as a rail corridor linking the downtown with points to east and north. The goals of the Master Plan are to create a redevelopment strategy consistent with community goals and balance economic development and quality of life.

UDG, as a subconsultant to ROMA Design Group, prepared a topographic survey of the site and the East 4th and 5th Street corridor from Pleasant Valley to IH-35. UDG researched all existing utilities, met with appropriate utility providers and developed preliminary designs for water, wastewater, drainage and water quality improvements to serve the future development. Work also included preparation of cost estimates and analysis of possible development constraints.

The Concept Plan required analysis of several realignments of rail through the tract and construction of a platform at Saltillo Plaza.
